I spent the majority of this Saturday afternoon playing with mommy. She has given me a lot of stuffed animals. Some even squeak when they are squeezed. I have one I got for Christmas from Grandma; in only one day I was able to chew it open and remove the squeaker! I'm not sure what it is, but, when I get on top of a stuffed animal my hips start to gyrate. One of my favorites is a hippo. When Dad got up from a nap Mom told him that I had been hippo humping all afternoon! I still don't know what that means. My other favorite is lamb chop; he has alot of squeakers. Mom has taken pictures of me playing with lamb chop.

It was an uneventful day, so far, I'm still getting accustomed to the new surroundings. I have gone from walking to running to jumping! After Dad got home from work it was time to go bye bye. Mom put me in a bag/purse; it was quite roomy really and off we went.
After a short car ride we arrived at the PetSmart. We entered a room that looked like a Doctors office; I quickly found out it was the Vet. They weighed me, 1.6 pounds, and looked at my ears and nose and took my tempurature. They squirted me in the nose, causing me to sneeze, then brought out a needle. I didn't think too much of it until they stuck me in the shoulder...I howled!! That was it and back home we went. I'll tell you what...my shoulder hurt the rest of the night!

It seemed to be an otherwise ordinary Friday; I spent the day hanging in the large kenel at The Pet Center. Dad came in that afternoon and picked me up. We were off on an all new adventure. I rode all the way, to what I have come to know as our home, in dads lap. Lola at The Pet Center gave me a blanket to stay warm.
It was really exciting getting to investigate a new place! I was free from a cage and walking, basically, for the first time! This was a new feeling but I was adjusting to it quickly. When Mom got home she was so happy..and I was too! There is a lot of love in this home with a flag on the front.

My name is Aikaui; I'm named in honor of hawaiian surfer/waterman Eddie Aikau. I'm a tea cup chihuahua/yorkie mix and my litter was born 10/18/16 of the 5 of us...I was the smallest. At 7 weeks old Dad picked me out at The Pet Center of Carolina Forest in Myrtle Beach, SC. I topped the scales at 1.2 pounds on that day.
